About

Raised in a middle-of-nowhere town deep in Southeast Alabama, I’m an over-achiever, adventure-seeking idealist trying to make her way while clinging to her Southern roots.  We recently packed up our belongings and moved from Seattle to Austin so my husband could sell hot sauce with our best friends.

Wife and mother, Daddy’s girl and nagging-prone sister, ambitious career woman, happy-hour toaster, friend high-fiver, terrible present wrapper – these are the days of my urban-dwelling life, and this is my space to chronicle the joys and struggles, renovations and recipes of learning to live healthier, simpler, and more growth-minded.

And why Pea Market Road? Pea Market Road was the quiet highway that connected my grandparents’ house to my two best friends’ houses when I was growing up. It means running in sprinklers, picking vegetables, learning to drive, sleepovers, Sunday dinners, meteor showers, peanut farms – and endless, endless dreaming.
